Resurrection West Kids: Registration is Open!

Your kids will love the experience of sleep-over camp accompanied by the familiarity of KiDSCOR. We are offering two camps again this year: July 1-4 for current 4th and 5th graders and July 8-10 for current 2nd and 3rd graders.

Youthfront is a Christian camp that offers air-conditioned cabins, a lake, swimming pool, water-slide, paddleboats, ping-pong, pool tables, foosball, a snack bar, and so much more. Campers will have structured activities, worship time, and plenty of free time to enjoy all that camp has to offer. Camp favorites every year are Night Strike and the shaving cream war.  Youthfront Camp West is located in Edgerton, Kansas (just 25 minutes south on I-35).

Registration for Youthfront Camp 2019 is open. To learn about Youthfront you can visit their website, read a bit of their blog as well as watch this highlights video. Church of the Resurrection attends camp at the Edgerton, KS location, Youthfront Camp West.

Hey Parents

Want to go camping too? Volunteer to be a cabin leader, and you'll get the entire experience for free! Don’t worry – it’s easy and fun. Not only that but you’ll receive a free Youthfront volunteer staff t-shirt, $10 to spend at the Snack Shoppe plus all the free soda you can drink!

Youthfront provides one paid staff person for each cabin who will lead the kids through the activities. On our end, we provide a volunteer cabin leader to be a second adult for each cabin, with no more tasks than to connect with the kids, participate in the fun (canoes and paddleboats!) and assist the camp counselor as you like. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Also there is some flexibility if you need to leave for an important meeting or take calls or work online (they do have wifi).

Please consider taking time to come to camp with us. Both male and female cabin leaders are needed. Email Christie.Walker@cor.org if you’re interested in being a cabin leader.

Cabin Placement

We are one of few who reserve space at Youthfront that makes room assignments for camp. Each cabin has four rooms that hold four children on bunk beds (total of 16 kids per cabin). When you register you may list up to three friends your child would like to room with. It’s best for all children to communicate and list each other.

We will not start cabin placement until about four weeks before camp. Any changes or additions to your bunkmate requests can be made anytime in the campwise system. In order for all campers to have the best experience we will not put more than two rooms of friends together in a cabin. If your group happens to have 5 kids, we can put a child on a cot in the room. Let us know and we will try to accommodate your request.
