Don’t miss this joy-filled commemoration of Juneteenth; acknowledging the day in1865 when the last American slaves in Texas found out they were actually free. More than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation! Officially recognized in 2021, it is the first federal holiday established since Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 1983.
Invite your family and friends to join you for this community-wide celebration.
The Juneteenth Celebration will include a Keynote Speaker: Reverend Adrienne Denson Ewell, Red Bridge UMC and messages from: Reverend Emanuel Cleaver III (St. James Church) and Reverend Adam Hamilton (The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection)
