Leawood: Resident Pastor Congregational Care (40 Hours, Salaried, Benefits Eligible)


Primary responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Congregational Care Pastors, provide care for individuals in assigned Leawood worshipping community - including hospital visits, counseling for individuals, and prayer request follow up.
  • Build and maintain processes to offer proactive care to members of worshipping community, helping them to consistently feel valued and appreciated.
  • Be present during weekend worship, with opportunities to lead in worship for one of our church services on the Leawood Campus.

Main qualifications:

  • Seminary graduate (M. Div preferred).
  • Committed to serving in pastoral ministry in the United Methodist Church. Currently a Certified candidate or seeking Provisional membership
  • Eager to support and encourage others.
  • Capable of maintaining confidences, effective listening and communicating sensitive information.
  • Confident and gifted relationally, both in large groups and with individuals.
  • Highly organized, team-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Leawood: Facilities Maintenance Tech I (40 Hours, Hourly, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with room/event set-ups
  • Complete work orders
  • Minor repair projects
  • Maintain high level of appearance for church’s buildings and grounds

Main Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • High level of initiative and motivation
  • Able to bend and physically lift and push up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work Wednesday through Sunday, 1:30pm-10pm

Leawood: Cafe Services Associate (5-10 Hours, Part time, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support coffee and food service operations.
  • Assist with Point of Sale systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing and serving coffee and related products.
  • Provide ministry focused service for congregants as well as visitors associated with special events or seeking a church home.
  • Hours mostly Sunday mornings during worship services or week nights; availability for special events and holidays.

Main qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service; food/coffee or retail setting is preferred.
  • Passion for customer service and desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable and motivated.
  • Basic math abilities and proficiency in MS Outlook and Word.
  • Able to stand for 6-8 hours and lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds.

Overland Park: Director of Traditional Worship Arts (20 Hours, Salary)

Primary responsibilities:

  •  Directly oversee the detailed planning, preparation, and execution of traditional worship music at Resurrection Overland Park, (instrumentalists, choir, performance and rehearsal responsibilities, special events and religious holidays such as Christmas Eve and Easter) ensuring the highest levels of excellence in the musical offerings.
  • Build Christian community among artists of varying backgrounds both within the church and outside the walls of the church.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and empower volunteers.

Main qualifications:

  • Proficiency and proven experience as a teacher and instructor, choral leadership, and development of small to large ensembles of all ages and skill levels.
  • Proven experience in performing, training, and directing a group of musicians in a variety of musical genres and working on a team of people.
  • Knowledge of traditional hymns, modern hymns, and secular songs appropriate for a worship setting.
  • Able to relate to and lead a multi-generational congregation in worship.
  • Able to recruit and grow a musical program through outreach and community involvement in the arts.

Overland Park: Office Coordinator and Assistant to Campus Pastor (20 Hours, Hourly)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Delivers excellent hospitality as the primary initial contact during weekday business hours. With a positive and friendly demeanor, greets visitors, answers telephone calls, and provides information gathered by various ministries of the church.
  • Assists the Campus Pastor with daily calendar. Schedules appointments, including those for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other events.
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Community Life, updates and monitors campus calendar. Orders supplies, sorts mail, and processes basic financial forms.

Main qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a passion for welcoming guests and providing top-notch hospitality.
  • Highly capable of learning and using functionality in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and management skills, plus ability to coordinate timelines and projects.
  • Ability to assist with a moderate level of physical activities such as facility set up, moving of supplies, etc.
