I’m excited to connect with you again today after a meaningful week of mission and ministry, but before I go on remember to set your clocks forward tomorrow night as we "spring forward" for Sunday morning. I know it can feel a little rough moving our clocks forward, but the extended daylight means spring is finally coming!
This Sunday will also be a worship together Sunday, where we invite all of our kids in Kindergarten and up into worship, as Pastor Adam focuses on the first of our five practices of essential Christian living. We will share Holy Communion in all services. Nursery will be available at all services for Pre-K and under.
Last Sunday the weather hit us hard, but many of you were able to make it to worship in person or join us through Facebook Live for Commitment Sunday. If you missed last Sunday’s sermon, entitled "Surrender," you can view it online here. I shared even more celebrations of what God is doing here, highlighted by powerful testimonies of how we respond to tragedy as people of God.
We have received many commitment cards in person and online for our Phase III plans, but still need to hear from a great many of you. Please go online now by clicking here and make your 3-year pledge, or drop your card in the offering plate this Sunday, or mail it in. I’m so grateful to the many of you who are leading the way for the rest of us in your sacrificial giving!
I wanted to celebrate our largest ever Upward celebration on Tuesday evening with over 450 in attendance to celebrate a great basketball season. This takes so many volunteers to make the season happen. Thank you for your servant-leadership!
We also began our Lenten journey with over 260 gathering for a meaningful Ash Wednesday service, and I can't remember an Ash Wednesday with so many kids and teens! Join me in reading through the Lenten Journal we’ve created for your devotional time over the next 40 days leading up to Easter. View it online here.
Looking forward to worship on Sunday,
