I hope you are staying safe and warm this morning. It looks like the weekend weather is looking better as we gather to dream toward 2030!
Our Serve Day kicks us off on Saturday morning from 9-11:30 am with a change of gathering place. We will be gathering at our Resurrection West Missions Center at 25000 College Blvd, so join us there for an all-ages Serve Day.
Then on Sunday, we will gather at 8 am, 9:30 am, 11 am, & 5 pm to dream together on Vision 2030 Sunday. For the last year, we’ve been in prayer, dialogue, and research as we dream of what we believe God is calling our church to do over the next 11 years. We've been asking where we can close the gap in four areas:
Pastor Adam will be sharing this four-fold vision as we dream together! This Sunday’s service will be a can’t miss Sunday as we will set the direction of our church for the next 11 years. You'll also be able to take home a brochure that helps us all take the first step toward this vision. Invite a friend to worship with you!
We will have Sunday School at all services for 5th grade and under, but will NOT have our normal Sunday School for 6th-8th graders at the 9:30 & 11am services. Over fifty of our middle schoolers will be on the Totally Tubular retreat to Des Moines, Iowa. For those 6th-8th graders who are not on the retreat, please join your parents in worship as we dream about where God is calling us when you will be 22-25 years old, the new leaders of our church! Plus you will experience new presentation walls around the building filled with our design plans for the Phase III projects. They create a visual road map of our three priorities:
Please continue praying and reflecting with us each week as we prepare for the upcoming FOR EVERY SEASON Phase III capital campaign. This week’s devotional is a touching reflection by Pastor Chris Holliday, whose mother recently passed. I believe you will find it inspiring as we continue to surround the forthcoming campaign with prayer together. Visit build.cor.org/west to read it now.
Finally, you gave 104 pints of blood in the blood drive this past Monday!! That is the first time we’ve ever broken 100 and the need is so great right now. Well done church! I’m so proud of how you continually respond to others in need. May God bless this work and bless those who will receive it. Thanks especially to Bob Hite, Carol Vierthaler, and Ann Joyner who work so hard to make this important ministry happen.
Looking forward to Sunday together,
Can’t find something? Let us help.
