What a beautiful weekend it’s shaping up to be! I hope you'll make worship a priority and join us online, on YouTube, or on TV this weekend. You may be wondering when we will begin in-person worship? We plan to return to in-person worship on March 14 with two services at 9 and 11 am, including our Nursery, which is available for children ages 2 and under. There will be no pre-reservations required.
We have been monitoring the Covid numbers and have seen a dramatic drop in new infections. People will be asked to wear masks the entire time and we will continue our contact free worship experience with no coffee service. As we return to worship we want to make sure we are careful to protect the health or our staff, volunteers and congregation.
For all other programs and ministries, we will devote the next few weeks to determining when they will resume in-person and we anticipate not returning to all of those activities until after Easter. Returning to in-person worship means we also need you to step up to serve as hospitality, greeting, security, and nursery volunteers! Remember also that you will need to set your clocks forward! March 14 is the start of Daylight Saving Time. Please take time this next week and take our survey at cor.org/next to help us know if you plan to worship in-person with us beginning March 14.
On Easter weekend we will implement a reservation system for worship and we are still working on those worship times.
On Saturday, March 27, 2-5 pm, we want to invite you to our Easter Egg-Venture event! Yes, this is Palm Sunday weekend, a week earlier than we have had the Egg Hunt in the past, and we have a signup ready so you can reserve time to walk through our Egg-citing scavenger hunt, Eggs-ercises, find some candy filled eggs, take home a craft and cookie kit, and see the Easter Bunny. Middle School and High School students will have activities planned especially for them, so invite your friends and bring the whole family. Register by clicking here. Share the link to invite friends to this safe outdoor family experience!
The first of four “Couples Conversation” teachings is available on our Resurrection West Facebook page here with a new topic every Thursday evening through March 18. You can watch these together with your partner at any time. Make it a date night! Pastor Chris and Lisa Holliday’s week one conversation on Communication & Connection was posted yesterday and is available to watch at your convenience.
We continue our Lenten Journey with a Wednesday night study led by our Resurrection pastors. If you did not receive a journal, you can download from cor.org/connect.
I’ll see you in worship this weekend and look forward to being with you in person in just a couple of weeks.
