Expectations

  • Be BAPTIZED! Email baptism@cor.org to arrange your baptism if you need to arrange this.  There may be other opportunities during the year for special baptismal services, too!
  • WORSHIP at Resurrection either in person or online at least 11 times between August 27 and April 14. We will be scheduling 11 times where the entire youth ministry will be encouraged to go to worship together. It is important for students to learn what it means to worship with various age groups and differing styles.
  • ATTEND weekly Confirmation (Cannot miss more than 6 sessions.) Don’t worry. There are also opportunities for make-up sessions via YouTube and Zoom.
  • SERVE in Worship Experience at least three times during your time in Confirmation. This will be easy, especially if you are in worship 11 times or more during the year.
  • SERVE at least once during Confirmation by completing a service project. You can do this with your small group and mentors or with your family or on your own.
  • ATTEND two retreats during the year with your Confirmation group. We have retreats right before Thanksgiving and in February all prepared for you and other students.

Overall, we want confirmation to be a life-giving experience for you and for your family. We want to remain flexible and connect with you if you are running into issues. Please let us know if you have any questions by connecting with our Discipleship Program Director, Mikiala Tennie, at mikiala.tennie@cor.org.
