Leawood: Guest Connections Weekend Worship Hospitality Program Director (40 Hours, Salaried, Benefits Eligiblle)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, training, and holistic support to Ushers in order to develop accurate implementation of worship/liturgical elements and consistency of practice between all worship spaces wherever possible.
  • Foster and develop Section Communities initiative. Recruit, provide leadership and training to Section Greeters and Zone Leaders. Develop training materials, communication tools and resources to equip section teams to function effectively.  Identify and develop section leaders as they emerge, who will be charged with inviting section members into growing relationships with each other and God.
  • Hold primary responsibility for weekend worship hospitality efforts as staff person on site on Sunday mornings. Create and manage volunteer schedule in Ministry Scheduler Pro.
  • Provide on-site leadership for worship, including recurring and special worship elements in regular weekend worship and special worship services, such as Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday services, and other events that arise.
  • Attend weekly Staff Chapel, All Staff Gatherings, Guest Connections Staff Team meetings.

Main qualifications:

  • Proven organizational skills, able to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision; must be a ‘self-starter’, highly motivated, flexible, efficient, capable of following projects through to completion. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in computer skills, especially with Excel, Outlook, and Word.   Data management expertise through database maintenance and reporting.  Aptitude working with web content management software.
  • Experience in building, leading, and directing a team of volunteers.
  • Able to work collaborative and cross-functionally with other ministries; develop quality relationships and engage in productive dialogue to resolve conflict. Enjoy working as a member of a dynamic and fast-paced team, ability to handle constant change.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs., stand for long periods of time and walk extensively during worship services.

Leawood: Finance Specialist - Accounts Payable (36 Hours, Hourly, Benefits Eligible)

Work Schedule: 

8 hours Mon-Thurs, 4 hours Friday except during year-end.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive, date and review all invoices for payment by the due date, as well as all reimbursement and check requests, making sure all have proper approval
  • Prepare and write checks; initiate wire transfers.
  • Prepare journal entries, as needed.
  • Track foreign funds held for mission trips.

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with creative team and ministry leaders to develop visual communication strategy and concepts and implement a variety of communication tools.
  • Manage graphics for weekly communication channels (bulletins, pre-worship loop slides, social media)
  • Create images and layout designs for marketing materials, ministries and worship.

  • Create images for use in videos and image projection that support worship and ministries.

Main qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrated experience in graphic design is required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and file sharing programs.
  • Knowledge of ProPresenter and After Effects software is preferred.

Downtown: Nursery Coordinator (20 Hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and coordination of classroom staff and volunteers including recruitment, training, mentoring and team building
  • Regularly document and log all necessary information for staff files, incident reports, Arena database, First Time Visitors, Reconnect, etc.
  • In coordination with Children’s Ministry Director, provide strategic planning and vision for KiDS COR nursery ministry, including setting goals, directing and evaluating existing programs, and participating in ministry budget planning.
  • Provide age-appropriate curriculum, activities, music, supplies and resources for childcare programming.

West: Director of Student Ministries (40 Hours, Salaried, Benefits Eligible)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all programming in Rezlife West Student Ministries, which include both the Middle School Ministry (6th-8th grades) and High School Ministry (9th-12th grades). Various ministry programming includes youth groups, small groups, confirmation, Sunday School, mission trips, and special events (i.e. camps, retreats). Serve as the lead communicator at Rezlife West programs and events.
  • Provide strategic planning and visioning for Rezlife West Student Ministries. This includes setting goals and direction, establishing new ministry opportunities, and evaluating existing programs.
  • Manage, motivate and equip staff, volunteers, and student leaders to effectively mobilize Rezlife West for ministry with students.
  • Regularly connect and converse with teenagers in and outside of the program setting, provide exceptional care and support to Rezlife West students and families during times of need, and lead a process for effective follow-up of first-time visitors to student programming.

 Main qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in full-time youth ministry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven track record of developing quality relationships; a recognized aptitude for interpersonal engagement, structured dialogue, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and management skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to coordinate events and projects. Capable of maintaining confidences, effectively listening and communication; able to resolve conflicts, and conduct one on one counseling sessions, as needed
