Leawood: Facilities Maintenance Tech I (40 Hours, Hourly, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with room/event set-ups
  • Complete work orders
  • Minor repair projects
  • Maintain high level of appearance for church’s buildings and grounds

Main Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • High level of initiative and motivation
  • Able to bend and physically lift and push up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work Wednesday through Sunday, 1:30pm-10pm

Leawood: Graphic Designer (20 Hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with creative team and ministry leaders to develop visual communication strategy and concepts and implement a variety of communication tools.
  • Manage graphics for weekly communication channels (bulletins, pre-worship loop slides, social media)
  • Create images and layout designs for marketing materials, ministries and worship.
  • Create images for the church’s website, www.cor.org.
  • Create images for use in videos and image projection that support worship and ministries.

Main qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrated experience in graphic design is required
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and file sharing programs.
  • Knowledge of ProPresenter and After Effects software is preferred.
  • Ability to work within a team and accept constructive criticism and adapt designs.
  • Photography knowledge and demonstrated photo editing experience and expertise is required.
  • Knowledge of production processes for both digital and print graphic formats.
  • A variety of graphic design accomplishments demonstrated in a current portfolio.

Leawood: Congregational Care Intern (20 Hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and leadership in the existing care ministries of a particular pastorate. They will work closely with the Worship Pastor, Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs), and the Congregational Care Team to guide the Resurrection community toward healing and wholeness.
  • Work directly with assigned supervisory pastor and Congregational Care team to provide care and administrative assistance
  • Make hospital visits, serve as Pastor of the Day, facilitate classes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 Main qualifications:

  • Understand and be able to champion the church’s purpose, vision and journey and the theology and traditions of the United Methodist Church.
  • Able to organize, coordinate, and complete task to meet scheduled deadlines
  • Be proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Be committed to serving collaboratively with a variety of teams to achieve common purposes
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Able to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and management skills with attention to details
  • Dedicated, dependable, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to conduct one-on-one counseling sessions as needed
  • Able to assist with a moderate level of physical activities such as facility set-up, moving of supplies, etc.
  • Enjoy working as a member of a dynamic and fast-paced team, with the ability to handle constant change

Leawood: KiDSCOR Early Learning Program Preschool Teacher (12-20 Hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Team teacher working with children ages 18 months to 2 years.
  • Promote the mission of Church of the Resurrection by incorporating faith development into each day’s planning and activities.
  • High Scope Curriculum fostering a safe, healthy learning environment in which the teacher will guide the child’s behavior.
  • Serve as a resource for families.
  • Evaluate the program’s effectiveness on a regular basis.

Main qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) with related experience.
  • Prior experience working with young children in group settings.

Leawood: Cafe Services Associate (5-10 Hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support coffee and food service operations.
  • Assist with Point of Sale systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing and serving coffee and related products.
  • Provide ministry focused service for congregants as well as visitors associated with special events or seeking a church home.
  • Hours mostly Sunday mornings during worship services or week nights; availability for special events and holidays.

Main qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service; food/coffee or retail setting is preferred.
  • Passion for customer service and desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable and motivated.
  • Basic math abilities and proficiency in MS Outlook and Word.
  • Able to stand for 6-8 hours and lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds.
