We are currently screening for the opportunities below. Although other positions are open, we have temporarily paused recruiting and hiring efforts until all of our church programming is fully operational again. Contractor - Finance Accounts Payable Clerk (Up to 32 hours per week for approximately 12 months)

Primary Responsibilities:

At this time, until staff offices are reopened, the position will work remotely, with occasional onsite presence at the Leawood campus.

  • Maintains church credit card accounts and provides assistance to staff, as needed.
  • Posts ACH debits daily to operating checking account.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries, as requested.
  • Sets up ACH for vendor payments.
  • Reconciles monthly accounts payable, prepaid accounts and credit cards.

Main qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles (equivalent education/experience of 2-5 years in accounting.)
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Speed and accuracy in computer data entry and exemplary computer skills, especially with Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Leawood: Pastor/Director of Student Ministries (Salaried, Full-Time, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide long-range strategic planning and visioning for Student Ministry and lead processes with the staff team to set ministry goals and direction, establish new ministry opportunities, evaluate existing programs and launch new initiatives
  • Provide leadership and direction for Student Ministry programming, including weekly youth group, Sunday school, small groups, service and missions, and special events
  • Provide leadership and direction for effective outreach and evangelism to attract more students into our programs and the life of the church
  • Research and evaluate processes, programming, and curriculum that best supports our purpose of creating deeply committed teenagers
  • Design, launch, and maintain a ministry initiative that ministers directly to college-age people in our church and community
  • Impact Student Ministry beyond our church through speaking, networking, and publishing

 Main qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5-7 years of experience in student ministries or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  A Master of Divinity degree is preferred
  • Above average communication skills with students, parents, volunteers and staff, including speaking to and leading large groups in a variety of program settings
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven track record of developing quality relationships; a recognized aptitude for interpersonal engagement, structured dialogue, and diplomacy
  • Flexible, dedicated, dependable, and highly motivated with a growing expertise of youth culture
  • Creative and forward thinker who can facilitate meaningful change
  • Active in making connections with adults to recruit, train, and disciple them as volunteer leaders
  • Understanding large church dynamics; effective administrator of large-scale processes and systems
  • Proficient in communicating via digital media of all types

Overland Park: Director of Student Ministries (Part Time, 20 Hours, Salaried)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all programming in Rezlife Overland Park Student Ministries, which include both the Middle School Ministry (6th-8th grades) and High School Ministry (9th-12th grades). Various ministry programming includes youth groups, small groups, confirmation, Sunday School, mission trips, and special events (i.e. camps, retreats). Serve as the lead communicator for Rezlife Overland Park programs and events.
  • Provide strategic ministry planning and visioning, including setting goals and direction, establishing new ministry opportunities, and evaluating existing programs.
  • Provide leadership and direction for evangelism and marketing to attract more students.
  • Recruit and train volunteers necessary for effective ministry.
  • Foster networking among campuses, local churches, and youth workers.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven track record of developing quality relationships; a recognized aptitude for interpersonal engagement, structured dialogue, and diplomacy.

Blue Springs Director of Student Ministries (Part time, 10-15 Hours, Salaried)

Leawood: Director of Risk Management (Full time, Salaried, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an overall risk management process for the church, including budget.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessment to identify current and potential financial, safety, and physical security risks.
  • Establish and communicate standardized processes and metrics for security, vulnerability analyses, and reporting on organizational compliance.
  • Manage all insurance coverage (outside of staff benefits) for the church. Maintain records of insurance policies and claims. Handle insurance negotiations and coverage review, ensuring high-quality service and competitive rates.
  • Monitor and enforce a biblically based boundary awareness and abuse prevention training, known as “Safe Gatherings,” for all staff and volunteers.
  • Educate on risk management to increase awareness regarding identification, monitoring and accountability for all potential risks.

Main qualifications:

  • Either a degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or a related field with 5-7 years risk management experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills with the ability to accurately report findings.
  • Strong communicator, with ability to present effectively to all levels.
  • Problems solver and strategic thinker.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
