Hi Resurrection Overland Park,

I hope your week is off to a good start. I'm reflecting on Bob Goff’s message from last weekend as I try to live with a child-like faith filled with humor and joy. I thoroughly enjoyed his message and look forward to our new series that begins this weekend, The You You Were Meant To Be: Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit.

What better way to put fruit into action than by serving and sharing with others? Join us tonight for our Volunteer Celebration as we welcome new volunteers and talk about sharing radical hospitality. Let us know you’re coming and where you’d like to serve, here.

This week we begin a new class on the spiritual gifts called Grace Gifts: Practicing the Spiritual Gifts. Uncover what spiritual gifts are, where they come from, and how they work within the church, at home and in the community. Wednesday evenings, October 13, 20, 27 from 6:30 - 8 pm. Sign up here!

Also, this week, Pastor Adam will host a conversation on “A Commitment to Courageous Kindness” with Mindy Corporon, who experienced the unimaginable in 2014 when her father and son were murdered. In her book, Healing a Shattered Soul, Mindy takes readers on her journey of healing and hope. This event will take place October 13, 6:30 pm in-person in the Foundry (Building B at the Leawood location), and online at

Once last thing. We are celebrating Adam Hartley’s final week with us as he recently accepted a new position with another organization. He has been part of the ground floor helping us launch our Overland Park location and someone with whom I’ve loved sharing in ministry. I consider Adam a friend, an excellent colleague, and we wish him well on his next adventure!

In Christ,

Joshua Clough
