Even though the future of human-to-human interaction is uncertain at this time, we believe students can still make a positive impact on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of our community!
Whether you are joining us to serve at one of our partner locations or by serving within your own home, help us make a difference by choosing any of the service projects below, and check back for more opportunities!
Help create sleeping mats for individuals in our community who are living on the street. The mats are created from up-cycled plastic bags, looped together to create plastic yarn called "plarn".
In order to help prevent the spread of disease, let your plastic bags sit for 3 days after you bring them home and wash your hands before and after working with the bags to create plarn.
Plastic bags, plarn and mats can be dropped off at the Resurrection Leawood location once we are open for donations.

Help us build awareness and provide essentials for the clients we support through “do-it-yourself” projects. These projects stock our shelves so we can serve over 40 families per week by filling the gaps in donations and making sure families have what they need to “Flourish” in their new home.

Silver Link Ministries serves those who are no longer able to attend church on their own by keeping them engaged in the life of Church of the Resurrection. Help them send encouraging messages to residents and to the staff caring for older adults.
Send Some Joy
Have everyone wash their hands thoroughly, then get creative and make some fun greeting cards! Wondering what to write? Personalize it- let them know a little about yourself and why you are writing. Encourage them- send phrases of kindness and support. Include Scripture and prayer- copy a short Scripture verse or a short prayer in your card. It will be a blessing!
Once complete, contact Claire Saunders Clough (email@example.com), Director of Silver Link Ministries, for further instructions.
