In Confirmation, a group of students join together to explore who Christ is, what it means to know Jesus through a life-long relationship and how we can follow Jesus as United Methodists. Confirmation is not simply a “rite of passage” or just a class to complete. It is a step in a life-long journey of pursuing the height, depth and width of God’s love and making a vow to live in relationship with Jesus for the rest of our lives!

The Vision: To mobilize students for the renewal of the Church.
Discover your passion. Discover your impact.
Leader Collective is for confirmed students in grades 8-12, who identify themselves as leaders. Whether their path lies in ministry as a career, social work, counseling, law, healthcare or lay leaders in the church, Leader Collective will place each student on an individual path to explore their leader potential. Mentors will provide support, encouragement, resources and options for these students.
We are committed to developing leadership through experiential learning and creating an authentic Christian community where students seek to discern and discover God's direction for their lives.

Rezlife worship bands lead worship for both Wednesday night youth groups, Sunday School and Sunday morning Confirmation classes. Many bands practice once a week in addition to rehearsal before the start of their ministry programs.
Auditions are held every fall, usually near the end of August or very early September. Students are asked to come prepared with a pre-selected worship song to perform vocally or play on their chosen instrument. Pre-registration is required to receive a specific audition slot.
2018-19 rezlife Band Auditions: Check back mid-August for more information.

Come be a part of an awesome group of 6th - 12th graders who share the word of God through music as we travel, serve in mission settings and lead worship. Whether you are an accomplished soloist, a member of your school choir or if you just love to sing, there is a place for you at Resurrection.
We spend lots of time getting to know each other - so making new friends is easy! In addition to learning music that challenges us musically and spiritually. As a part of CORis, you will learn correct vocal technique that will make you a better singer both at church and at school - even if you have never sung before.
We sing in worship each month, go on retreats, sing outside of Resurrection and tour every June on our annual Mission Trip. We love to sing together, eat together, travel together and strengthen our relationship with God and with each other through music, fellowship and service.
Students from all over Kansas City join us (church membership at Resurrection is not a requirement) to come together for rehearsal every week.
Dates: Early June, 2018
We will will travel by charter bus and spend the week singing in outreach mission locations (homeless shelters, retirement homes), doing hands on mission work. The destination for Mission Trip 2018 will be announced in early September, 2017.
Singers and Parent Sponsors are needed.

The Rez Youth Orchestra-Handbells are three groups: Orchestra, High School Handbells and Middle School Handbells. These groups rehearse separately, then combine to lead worship, perform outreach, have fun together, develop friendships, grow in our faith and go on a fantastic mission trip in June. There are no auditions for these groups, and they are open to all students in 6th-12th grades.
You do not have to be a Resurrection member to participate in these groups. We are dedicated to building a music program to grow your faith and for serving God with your musical talents.
For questions about the Youth Orchestra, please contact Troy Armstrong.
For questions about Handbells, please contact Gwen Gepford.
