Confirmation

A time for students to claim faith for themselves and confirm the vows of their baptism.

Register for 2022-2023 Confirmation!

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is the time in a student’s life when they claim faith for themselves. Through Confirmation, students have the opportunity to explore their faith by asking questions, digging deeper, serving others, and learning more about God and the Church. They will journey alongside adult mentors and participate in a small group of their peers. At the end of Confirmation, they will be invited to make a public commitment to Christ and become a full member of our church community. You do not have to be a member at Church of the Resurrection to register. Confirmation at Resurrection is open to students in 8th-12th grade.

Registration for the 2022-2023 Confirmation Season is now open! Sign up for Confirmation by September 13.

Our Parent and Student Kickoff will be Sunday, September 18, 2022.

We are also looking for adults to serve as Confirmation Mentors and High School Students to serve as Confirmation Junior Mentors. Sign up now to be a Confirmation Mentor!

Confirmation is more than just a rite of passage or a one-time commitment. It is the first official step in a life-long journey to following Christ and serving God’s Church. You do not need to already be a member of Church of the Resurrection to join in the Confirmation Journey. Confirmation at Resurrection is open to students in 8th-12th grade.

By far, the most important part of Confirmation is the small group experience. Many small groups choose to continue meeting long after Confirmation is over. Students can choose to be in either co-ed/mixed-gender or same-gender small groups led by adult mentors and student mentors. We do our best to form small groups based on friend requests (one friend request is available in the registration form), but if you have any group concerns or needs for your student, please email confirmation@cor.org.
