Confirmation is the time in a student’s life when they claim faith for themselves. Through Confirmation, students have the opportunity to explore their faith by asking questions, digging deeper, serving others, and learning more about God and the Church. They will journey alongside adult mentors and participate in a small group of their peers. At the end of Confirmation, they will be invited to make a public commitment to Christ and become a full member of our church community. You do not have to be a member at Church of the Resurrection to register. Confirmation at Resurrection is open to students in 8th-12th grade.
As an additional way to be a part of the church and participate in worship, we ask all confirmands to serve in Guest Connections as an Acolyte, Greeter, or Usher at least twice during their time in Confirmation.
Registration form open now, and serving spots are open as early as spring 2022!
For any questions regarding Acolyte/Guest Connections serving, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Confirmation would not happen without awesome adults serving as Confirmation Mentors! A mentor is not someone who knows all the answers, but is a faithful guide as students discover their own answers. You'll be partnered with a co-mentor, so you don't have to do it alone, and we'll give you all the tools and training you need to lead amazing conversations with your Confirmation Small Group. We would love to have you join us as a Confirmation Mentor.

Requirements for the 2022-2023 Confirmation Season:
Students must be baptized before they can be confirmed. If they have not been baptized, please indicate so on the registration form. A special Confirmation Baptism Ceremony will be held for Confirmands in November (more information coming soon). Baptisms can also be arranged through the church by visiting cor.org/baptism and clicking "Register for Baptism."
Overall, we want confirmation to be a life-giving experience for you and for your family. We want to remain flexible and connect with you if you are running into issues. Please let us know if you are concerned about these expectations or have any questions by connecting with Confirmation Pastor Shannon Greene at email@example.com.
2022-2023 Confirmation Schedule
Confirmation Sessions meet weekly from 9:00-10:30 am in the Student Center (Building C) unless otherwise noted. Dates and times are subject to change.
Confirmation is the time in a student’s life when they claim faith for themselves. Through Confirmation, students have the opportunity to explore their faith by asking questions, digging deeper, serving others, and learning more about God and the Church. They will journey alongside committed adult and student mentors and a small group of their peers. At the end of Confirmation, they will be invited to make a public commitment to Christ and become a full member of our church community.
Confirmation is more than just a rite of passage or a one-time commitment. It is the first official step in a life-long journey to following Christ and serving God’s Church. You do not need to already be a member of Church of the Resurrection to join in the Confirmation Journey. Confirmation at Resurrection is open to students in 8th-12th grade.
By far, the most important part of Confirmation is the small group experience. Many small groups choose to continue meeting long after Confirmation is over. Students can choose to be in either co-ed/mixed-gender or same-gender small groups led by adult mentors and student mentors. We do our best to form small groups based on friend requests (one friend request is available in the registration form), but if you have any group concerns or needs for your student, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
