Daily Scripture

Matthew 5:14, 16

You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven.

2 Peter 3:18

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

Micah 6:8

What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Mark 9:37

Jesus reached for a little child, placed him among the Twelve, and embraced him. Then he said, “Whoever welcomes one of these children in my name welcomes me.”

Prayer Tip

This week, Pastor Hamilton will be speaking about our church's vision for the year 2030. While this seems incredibly far away, we know that time can pass very quickly. We also know that we must have a plan in place, a view of our target, so we can accomplish our goals. The goals for our church are framed around our call to create a just society.

Prayer can be a wonderful way to connect with God and ask for help in completing our goals. We can request guidance in how we use our money and our time. What opportunities most excite your heart? How can you be used to make these goals a reality?

God,

We are excited to dream about how to make Kansas City more aligned with your kingdom. Guide our hearts and minds and give our hands and feet energy to make these dreams a reality.

Amen.
