Each fall, we continue the Methodist tradition of presenting all of our 3rd grade students with a Bible of their very own. As their faith family we are excited to provide this age appropriate Bible and our prayer is that this gift will help them go deeper in their relationship with God.
The presentation ceremony will take place during worship services on November 10th and 11th. You may register your child to attend the service of your choice. The 3rd graders will need to report 20 minutes prior to the service start and will parade into the sanctuary together. After receiving their Bibles they will sit together for the remainder of the service.
We suggest that you make this event into a family celebration. Invite your family or friends to attend and plan a special meal or dessert for afterwards. Many people have celebrations when their child is baptized and the child won't remember any of that! This is a great opportunity to celebrate a faith milestone in your child's life. Make it memorable!
The presentation will take place during every service over the weekend. Pick which service works best for you. Only a certain amount of space is available at each service so register early to get your first choice!
Registration is REQUIRED so we can create a personalized bookplate for each child to place in their Bible. Register even if your child can not attend the service but would still like a Bible.
Saturday, November 10th at the 5pm service
Sunday, November 11th at 7:30am, 9:15am, 11am (Sanctuary and Foundry) and 5pm services
Then mark your calendar for January 18th for an event just for 3rd graders called Bible Exploration. We'll learn all about how to find our way around the Bible while eating dinner, playing games and having fellowship. It's a fantastic night!
