Leawood: Video Producer/Editor (40 hours, Exempt, Benefits Eligible)

Primary responsibilities:

  • As a member of the video team within the Communications Department, produce (film and edit) video projects that support sermon series, worship, conferences, individual ministries, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create cohesive sermon packages, including sermon graphics, videos and supplemental material.
  • Edit weekend sermons for upload and distribution.
  • Produce stories and promotional videos from concept to completion for worship, website, and social media.

Main qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in video production with strong background in script writing, storyboarding, and recruiting talent.
  • Deep familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Highly skilled in non-linear editing for various pieces, from testimonial/story videos to edits for sermon videos.
  • Ability to shift work hours to accommodate evening or weekend projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leawood: Congregational Care Pastoral Resident (40 Hours, Exempt, Benefits Eligible)

Primary responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Congregational Care Pastors, provide care for individuals in assigned Leawood worshipping community - including hospital visits, counseling for individuals, and prayer request follow up.
  • Build and maintain processes to offer proactive care to members of worshipping community, helping them to consistently feel valued and appreciated.
  • Be present during weekend worship, with opportunities to lead in worship for one of our church services on the Leawood Campus.

Leawood: Guest Connections Coordinating Assistant - Weekend Worship (25 Hours, Non-exempt)

Typical schedule: Sunday, 8:30am-1:30pm, Monday, 9am-2pm, Tuesday, 9-2pm, Wednesday, 9-2, Thursday 9-2 (off Friday/Saturday), may flex as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as staff person on site for Sunday morning worship in the Foundry.  Provide holistic leadership, training, and development of Foundry volunteer teams.
  • Provide administrative support to Weekend Worship Program Director, including assisting with weekly communication and preparation for weekend programming and worship, and supporting Section Community gatherings.
  • Prepare for worship: set-up welcome signage, prepare usher room; and wrap-up post-service on Monday mornings by doing walk-through of all worship spaces.
  • Serve as primary connector into worship-related teams, such as Ushers and Section Greeters.
  • Support team efforts during peak seasons, i.e. Christmas and Easter.
  • Attend weekly Staff Chapel, All-Staff meetings, Guest Connections Ministry Staff Team meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation for the scheduling of departmental room reservations, including room set-ups, tech art needs, child care, catering, and other specific room needs.

Leawood: Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Sonflower Adult Learning Program (25 Hours; Non Exempt)

  • Hands-on care and support for adult participants with special needs.

Leawood: Confirmation Program Director (20 Hours; Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the Confirmation Program in Student Ministries, including planning, implementation, management, and evaluation.
  • Partner with supervisor and ministry staff to prepare theologically relevant curriculum for use in small groups and large group teaching time.
  • Recommend and manage budget for the Confirmation program.
  • Recruit, train, and equip adult volunteers to effective mentor students and assist in various areas for Confirmation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Assist in daily food service operations; receiving, storing, and preparing food products sold in The Spring Café and for catered events. This may include purchasing, physically picking up, and delivering inventory items from local wholesale clubs and other vendors
  • Prepare and ensure all internal catering orders are acknowledged, prepared, and delivered to the church’s ministries with excellent quality and on a timely basis
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly coordinate the detailed planning, preparation, and execution of weekend worship at Resurrection West.
  • Coordinate all logistics regarding creation and playback of all video & graphic elements, sermon DVD & delivery, theatrical lighting design, stage & set design, as well as any other visual and aesthetic elements used in weekend worship and student worship.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and empower all technical production volunteers for weekly & weekend events.

Main qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience video and graphic design.
  • Ability to assist with moderate to high levels of physical activities such as moving large equipment more than 200 lbs.
