We want to help you through times of career change and challenges. We have networking and support groups, job coaching and a job board to help you during your career change.
If a financial emergency occurs that threatens an individual or family's ability to provide for basic needs (shelter, food, transportation), we may be able to help.
If you are a member of Resurrection or regularly attend worship or other programs at any of our locations, financial care and assistance always begins with an appointment with a pastor. For appointments with Leawood Congregational Care pastors, please call Lisa Guenther at (913) 544-0712. If you worship and participate at Resurrection West, Blue Springs or Downtown, please contact the pastors at those campuses.
If you are a member of the Metropolitan Kansas City community but do not have a connection with the Church of the Resurrection, we partner with social service agencies in the area to help provide some assistance to members of the community through referrals and agency grants. To find a social worker/case manager in your area, please call the United Way 2-1-1 information line.
At our Leawood location ONLY, we offer gas vouchers, redeemable at a station near our Leawood campus, on Mondays from 9 am – 1 pm, Wednesdays from 1 pm – 4 pm and Fridays from 9 am – 1 pm. Vouchers are not available outside these hours. You may be eligible to receive up to 2 vouchers in a 12 month period. A current, valid, driver’s license (no expired licenses, paper, or digital copies) must be presented at the time of the request for a gas voucher.
