Easter brings the promise of new life, new beginnings – and we are excited to offer new opportunities for next steps on your journey to becoming a deeply committed Christian!

New series of Wednesday classes begin this evening:

  • No Stupid Questions: Race & Implicit Bias – 6:30 pm. Explore questions about race and bias in the Bible, our culture and our daily lives in this class led by Pastor of Community Justice Cheryl Jefferson Bell and other Resurrection staff.
  • Let’s Show Up Parenting Class – 8:30 pm. How can we show up for our families no matter what age and stage we’re in? Put the kids to bed and then join us for this online class!
  • Meet Your Bible provides an overview of every book in the Bible – the epic story of God’s saving work! Starts tonight at 6:30 online.

Discuss real issues, have honest conversations and find community in Alpha Online – Explore life, spirituality and faith in a fun, non-judgmental and open environment. Perfect for skeptics, the curious, anyone with major doubts or hurts. Next session starts Monday, April 12, 6:30 pm.

Worship

This weekend Pastor Adam begins a new sermon series called “Beginning Anew After the Pandemic.” We’ll explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic through the lens of our faith – how we changed, what we learned and how we move forward with hope.

In-person worship services are offered at each of our Kansas City area locations at 9 and 11 am. See information about our safety protocols here.

Serve

Online Book Fair benefits Resurrection Bookmobile for KC area students – Help our Partner School students improve their reading skills and enjoy adding books to their home libraries! The Resurrection Bookmobile visits elementary schools throughout Kansas City, allowing students to select and keep two books from each visit during the school year.

United Methodist Women have organized an online Book Fair with Scholastic for replenishing the Bookmobile as needed. Order books here April 9-22, and use the discount code "SHARE10" to get a 10% discount off your purchase (please purchase books only).

Connect & Study

Carry On Women’s Study meets Thursdays, April 8 – May 13, 9:30-11 am via Zoom. How do we move forward after such a challenging year? What are the essentials for the next phase? Learn from women leaders and pack your “carry on bag” for the journey. Sign up here.

Be the Bridge Class meets Sundays, April 11 - May 30, 3-4:30 pm via Zoom. The group costs $10 to cover materials (scholarships are available if needed). Engage in healthy dialogue about race as we journey toward becoming a bridge-builder for racial reconciliation during this Christianity-based training. Sign up here.

Our Congregational Care Ministry serves to walk with you through life's challenges. From Counseling to Prayer to Support Groups, you can learn more here.

Find hope and healing through Resurrection Recovery

  • Hear from those navigating the recovery journey as they share their stories on Thursday evenings at 6:15 in the Foundry. You can access these testimonies online as well.
  • Resurrection Recovery Support Groups meet Thursday evenings at 7, in person at Resurrection Leawood, Bldg. B, or online via Zoom. Have you or a loved one been affected by substance, drug or alcohol abuse or addictions of any kind? We hope you will join us no matter where you are on the recovery journey.

  • Prayer Requests – Please submit your prayer requests online. We have a team dedicated to praying for these requests.

KiDSCOR Children's Ministry

Join KiDSCOR on Sundays! Registration required.

  • 9 am – in person childcare for up through age 2
  • 9:30 am – Zoom calls for PreK – 5th grade
  • 11 am – full in-person programming for 5th grade and below (limited capacity).
