Will you pray with us?

Feb. 23-26 marks an important time for our church's denomination. A special session of General Conference, called for by the Council of Bishops, will focus on the issue of human sexuality and church unity in how to be in ministry to LGBTQI persons.

Resurrection pastors Adam Hamilton and Cheryl Jefferson-Bell travel this week to St. Louis to serve as delegates at the conference. As a church, we are praying for God to guide all the delegates as they deliberate and vote on legislation for the global United Methodist Church. Here's how you can participate:

  • Pray where you are – sign up for a 15-minute prayer time slot here (online prayer guide provided)
  • Pray at Resurrection – Prayer Vigil on Monday, Feb. 25 and Tuesday, Feb. 26, noon-1 pm in Wesley Covenant Chapel (Bldg. C).

Find more information about the General Conference here. Pastor Adam is sharing about the conference on his blog.

In prayer, let us be one in Christ.
