A Story of Uncommon Generosity

As a gifted young artist living with vision impairment and a brain tumor, Jeff Hanson gave away millions of dollars through his paintings fueled by his passion to give back to his community.

Jeff found authentic joy and a deep connection with God through living generously. Those who live generously find a deeper sense of community, a lasting hope, and increasing love for others while leaving a lasting impact on the world.

We invite you to learn Jeff’s inspiring story in the video and find out more about how your giving supports our ministries here.

How do I leave a legacy gift to the church?

Legacy gifts are a purposeful way of supporting the future ministry and mission of our church. Your estate gift can support Resurrection for decades to come. When the church or foundation receives assets as a beneficiary under a will or trust after the donor’s death, the gift is known as a “Legacy Gift.” Legacy Gifts can be made from a variety of asset classes such as cash, securities, qualified retirement plan/IRA assets, the death benefit from life insurance, or real estate. All gifts are welcome. For more information, download our Legacy Gift Planning Guide.

  1. We encourage you to complete and return a Donor Declaration form that will guide the use of your Legacy Gift to the church or foundation.
  2. To include Church of the Resurrection in your plans, use our legal name and Federal Tax ID:
    1. Legal Name: The Church of the Resurrection
    2. Foundation Federal Tax ID Number: 05-0525052

We would love the opportunity to connect and answer questions. You can reach us at foundation@cor.org.

How do I give to a Capital Campaign?

The Church of the Resurrection has been dreaming and planning to build new spaces that would reach future generations and provide tools for ministry for the next 100 years. These campaigns have made it possible for us to build sacred spaces for our community to encounter God through prayer walks, stained glass windows, and other beautiful artistic elements (more information about our sacred spaces available here).

To learn more about the most recent capital campaigns please contact Debi Nixon at debi.nixon@cor.org.
