Preparing for Easter

Our journey through Lent began with Ash Wednesday as we began preparing our hearts and minds for the Easter celebration.

Plan Your Visit

An artist begins with a blank canvas, full of possibility. Easter is like that fresh canvas, and we are God’s work of art.

Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve been to church — that’s okay. No matter where we’ve come from or how hopeless we feel, through the resurrection we can become a new creation and experience a life filled with hope and love.

Church of the Resurrection welcomes you to celebrate Easter with us and explore the possibilities of a new life.

Easter Offering Grant

In the spirit of Easter hope, our weekend worship offering will support Church of the Resurrection’s annual Community Transformation Award. Two grants, totaling $100,000, will fund community projects to provide education, counseling, treatment, and resources aimed at suicide prevention along with other services for individuals and families dealing with loss from suicide.

An $80,000 grant will further catalyze the initiatives developed by a coalition of six school districts in Johnson County in conjunction with the Johnson County Mental Health Center. Funds will support community mobilization, student-led initiatives, training and resources aimed at prevention, anti-bullying, removing stigmas, dealing with mental health and addiction.  A second $20,000 grant will provide suicide prevention education and support resources through Resurrection’s congregational care efforts.
