Rejuvenate: Women's Wellness Day

Need to recharge? Join us for a wellness day for women of all ages and fitness levels on Saturday, September 29 at Resurrection Downtown (1522 McGee). A day focused on movement and meaningful connection through yoga, bootcamp, boxing and conversation about nutrition and self-compassion. We will end the day with a social hour and pop-up shopping featuring some amazing local vendors. Join us and be rejuvenated at this wellness event in the heart of Kansas City!

Cost is $15, but bring a friend new to Resurrection for free. Register here. Don’t forget a yoga mat, water bottle and towel!

  • 10:45 - 11:15am - Self-Compassion Talk with Ginger Rothhaas
  • 11:15am- 12:00pm - Express Yoga with Shannon Wheeler
  • 12:00 - 1:00pm - Social Hour with Life Equals, Haven Acupuncture, Evening Shade Farms, MADI Apparel, EMBR, The Brewkery Kombucha

Speakers & Instructors:

Shannon Wheeler  Shannon began yoga in 2006 and realized throughout the seasons of her life, her love of practicing yoga always remained a constant. In July 2015, Shannon completed 200- hour Yoga Teacher program. Shannon wholeheartedly believes yoga is for everyBODY . She is eager to share her passion for yoga with  those who are new to yoga and seasoned yogis alike.

Kendra Van Horn  Kendra is with Freight House Fitness - a community focused on healing from the inside out. They focus on inner healing while nourishing the mind, body, spirit and teaching love and self-care in a way that will bring your spirit alive. She and her husband are on a mission to form a community filled with love, acceptance and total body self-care.

Christi Jo Brunner  Christi has been boxing at Sweet Z's Gym for 6 years and just so happened to have met her husband Zach there, the owner. She really enjoys sparring and believes it is important to have fun with your workout and boxing is just that!

Beth Troutt  Beth Troutt is a licensed and registered dietitian for the University of Kansas Health System. She currently specializes in adult and pediatric critical care, and has been board certified in nutrition support since 2015.

Ginger Rothaas  Ginger is a minister and soul coach speaking about practicing self-compassion!
