Leawood: Communications Project Manager (40 Hours, Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an essential link between Resurrection campuses and ministries and the Communications team to ensure unique needs of each campus are consistently met.
  • Work with Director of Communications to develop strategic communication and marketing plans and coordinate implementation across all campuses and media platforms.
  • Work with volunteers and ministry colleagues to develop communication initiatives and marketing campaigns that meet the needs of individual campuses and ministries.
  • Coordinate with the Communications creative team to ensure delivery of graphic, video, digital and social media.

Main qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or a related field, with 2 to 4 years of experience working in creative communications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with pastors and ministry leaders.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for print and digital media.
  • Experience with a broad range of communication media, including web, video, social and print.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and database management.

Leawood: Adult Discipleship Program Director (40 Hours, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to new and existing small groups, Disciple groups, and classes helping members of those groups become deeply committed Christians.
  • Recruit, equip, manage and motivate small group leaders.
  • Manage and improve processes to form new groups.
  • Contribute to marketing and communication vehicles, maximizing the ministry’s web presence and communicating opportunities to existing groups and leaders.

Main qualifications:

  • Experience in, and commitment to, small group formation and discipleship.
  • Experience building, leading, and directing teams of volunteers.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to follow projects through to completion.
  • Experience planning for events and other learning opportunities such as classes and workshops.

Leawood: Middle School Youth Minister (40 Hours, Exempt, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate and equip staff, volunteers, and student leaders to effectively mobilize Rezlife for ministry with students.
  • Regularly connect and converse with teenagers in the program setting.
  • Provide leadership and direction for middle school programming, including youth group, Sunday school, small groups, Bible studies, mission trips and special events (i.e. camps, retreats).
  • Provide leadership and direction for evangelism and marketing to attract more students into the program.

 Main qualifications:

  • Prior youth ministry experience - preferably a minimum of 3 years.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to connect with students, parents, volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to teach and lead youth, both in small and large group settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with leading and providing direction for high school programming, including youth group, Sunday school, small groups, ministry teams, bible studies, mission trips and special events (i.e. camps, retreats).
  • Manage, encourage, motivate and equip staff, volunteers, and student leaders to effectively mobilize Rez Life for ministry with students.
  • Pursue relational ministry connections outside the walls of the church.

Main Qualifications:

  • A love for people, especially teenagers and a willingness to connect with them and facilitate their spiritual growth.
  • Solid theological background, with an understanding and appreciation of Wesleyan Doctrine.
  • Comfortable speaking to and leading very large groups.
  • Comfortable conducting one-on-one counseling sessions and providing spiritual direction when necessary.
  • Needs to be able to delegate work to others and provide follow-up.
  • At least 3 years in full-time youth ministry preferred but not required.

Leawood: Special Needs Care Provider (5-10 Hours, Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care for participants with special needs, ranging from autism to other physical and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Organize and direct volunteers
  • Minister to individuals with special needs and build a dynamic Christian community that serves this population
  • Schedule includes any or all of the following times:
    • Sunday mornings
    • 5pm Sunday evenings
    • Monthly Family Night Out
    • As needed

Main qualifications:

  • Knowledge of autism and other disabilities
  • Ability to model and assign tasks to volunteers
  • An understanding and experience in behavior management and applied behavior analysis helpful, but not required
  • Organized with ability to multi-task and problem solve

Leawood: KiDSCOR Nursery & Childcare Classroom Leader (5-20 hours, Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide childcare for families attending events and/or worship onsite.
  • Use personal creativity to actively engage children while leading learning activities and teaching provided curriculum.
  • Provide safety and supervision of children.
  • Lead and/or participate in music time either in a large group setting or individual classrooms.
  • Communicate regularly with the parents, co-workers, and coordinators in a positive way.

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision
  • Ability to connect and work well with children of all ages
  • Applicants must be able to work 5 to 20 hours per week, with a minimum of 2 shifts which will include either 1 weekday evening shift or 1 weekend shift.

West: Student Ministries Worship Leader (20-25 Hours, Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead worship with the student ministry band on Wednesday nights and assist the Director of Student Ministries with programming. This can include youth group, Sunday School, student ministry events and trips, summer camp, and occasional weekend activities.
  • Assist the Director of Worship Arts in preparing, rehearsing, and leading worship each Sunday as well as for special events and programming.
  • Build healthy one-on-one relationships with students, providing care and living as a Christ-like role model.

Main qualifications:

  • Mastery of at least one instrument with the ability to lead worship.
  • Ability to communicate/relate to students and their families.
  • Musical aptitude to lead others in worship through song and praise. Able to design music ministries particularly for students and adults.
