Leawood: Adult Discipleship Coordinating Assistant (40 Hours, Hourly, Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all marketing and communication vehicles for the discipleship ministry including webpages, bulletins, e-news, email, promotional tables and external promotional pieces.
  • Provide support for Grow Night and Family Night including marketing, room reservations, scheduling, logistics, tech support, room set-up and room oversight.
  • Create and manage registration for discipleship ministry offerings.
  • Work as part of the coordinating assistant team to cover all areas of support for discipleship ministry including following up on inquiries, ordering supplies and assisting where needed.
  • Manage and provide oversight for volunteers.

Leawood: Video Producer/Editor (40 hours, Salaried, Benefits Eligible)

Primary responsibilities:

  • As a member of the video team within the Communications Department, produce (film and edit) video projects that support sermon series, worship, conferences, individual ministries, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create cohesive sermon packages, including sermon graphics, videos and supplemental material.
  • Edit weekend sermons for upload and distribution.
  • Produce stories and promotional videos from concept to completion for worship, website, and social media.

Main qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in video production with strong background in script writing, storyboarding, and recruiting talent.
  • Deep familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Highly skilled in non-linear editing for various pieces, from testimonial/story videos to edits for sermon videos.
  • Ability to shift work hours to accommodate evening or weekend projects.

Leawood: Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Sonflower Adult Learning Program (25 hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on care and support for adult participants with special needs.
  • Partner with Program Coordinator and Team Lead encouraging each learner to engage in program activities to their fullest potential.
  • Assist in a variety of programs including devotion, bakery, art, music, community service, and enrichment activities.
  • Foster good communication with adult learners with special needs, caregivers, volunteers and staff team.

Main qualifications:

  • Ability to work with adults with special needs including autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities and other cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Prior experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Ability to stand and walk (up to several blocks) throughout the workday and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to model for and assign tasks to volunteers.

Leawood: Preschool Teacher - KiDSCOR Early Learning Program (11-16.5 hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Team teacher working with children ages 18 to 24 months.
  • Promote the mission of Church of the Resurrection by incorporating faith development into each day’s planning and activities.
  • High Scope Curriculum fostering a safe, healthy learning environment in which the teacher will guide the child’s behavior.
  • Serve as a resource for families.

Main qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) with related experience.

Leawood: Cafe Services Associate (5-8 hours, Hourly)


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support coffee and food service operations.
  • Assist with Point of Sale systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing and serving coffee and related products.
  • Provide ministry focused service for congregants as well as visitors associated with special events or seeking a church home.
  • Hours mostly Sunday mornings; availability for special events and holidays.

Main qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service; food/coffee or retail setting is preferred.
  • Passion for customer service and desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable and motivated.
  • Basic math abilities and proficiency in MS Outlook and Word.
  • Able to stand for 6-8 hours and lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds.

Blue Springs: Nursery and Childcare Worker (10 hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up nursery rooms for worship and non-worship events
  • Enforce health and safety standards including maintaining organized and clean classrooms
  • Manage supplies as needed
  • Encourage and support volunteer participation
  • Communicate regularly with the parents, co-workers, and Director in a positive way
  • Thoroughly read and understand the staff manual and covenant and adhere to all KiDS COR policies and procedures.

Downtown: Facilities Maintenance Technician (15 hours, Hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Open & close buildings before and after worship.
  • Place flags and signs outside before worship as well as bringing them in after worship.
  • Assist with cleaning such as spills, trash overflow, and general facility issues as they arise.
  • In absence of a volunteer, cover parking lot entry by allowing cars into the gated lot in and friendly and timely manner.
  • Maintain high level of appearance for church’s buildings and grounds.
  • Perform minor fixes, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing a shade, etc.

 Main qualifications:

  • Organizational and customer service skills.
  • Able to work Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings, with potential hours for holidays and special events.
  • Must be able to bend and physically lift and push up to 50 pounds.

Overland Park: Campus Pastor (40 Hours, Salaried, Benefits Eligible)

Resurrection Overland Park is set to open in August of 2019. This fifth location for the Church of the Resurrection will be a new campus and it will launch in the present location of Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th St. Overland Park, KS.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective strategies for reaching non-religious and nominally religious people, connecting them, and maximizing opportunities for them to know, love, and serve God.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for managing the campus staff team, budget, and all campus resources.
  • Identify, equip, empower, and lead volunteers to do the ministry of the church.  Directly oversee and empower the Campus Advisory Team, and other specialized teams involved in leading the campus (Building Committee, Capital Campaign Teams, Pre-Launch Teams, Missions Teams, etc.).
  • Lead worship by incorporating Resurrection’s overall worship themes in the planning of the campus’ weekly worship services and preach on occasions with the approval of the Senior Pastor.

Main qualifications:

  • MDiv. or comparable pastoral and theological experience within the local church.
  • Ordained, or willing to pursue local pastoral leadership.
  • Able to manage and lead multiple projects and staff members simultaneously and dependably.  Know when and how to delegate ministry and operate at a high level of efficiency.
  • Deep concern for the spiritual and emotional welfare of people. Capable of responding compassionately to congregational needs. Able to manage and train teams of volunteers to provide excellent care to members of the community.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of developing quality relationships; a recognized aptitude for interpersonal engagement, structured dialogue, and diplomacy; and comfort with meeting new people and inviting them onto a journey of knowing, loving, and serving God. Appropriately assertive in addressing conflicts, misalignment and issues of integrity.
