Greetings Resurrection Downtowners,

What an amazing week it has been. I feel like things are moving in fast forward! The momentum and energy is palpable.

As finishing touches are applied to the building I have been doing a lot of reflecting over where we have come from and how God has been guiding and leading over the past several years. In addition to posting building updates on our Facebook and Instagram feeds, we felt inclined to share a throwback video that we shared before Resurrection Downtown had it's first informational gathering. If you haven't seen it, check out this throwback video from 2009. A lot has changed since then, but I am so glad that our purpose and vision has remained the same.

I can't wait to see where God leads us from here... I just wish I didn't have to lose so much hair in the process! If you want to stay up to date on all of our building progress and community life programming please follow us on Facebook and Instagram!

This weekend in worship we're continuing our series of sermons on What Jesus Would Say... and this week we're shifting our focus onto Mothers and Children. We'll be looking specifically at Mary, the mother of Jesus, and what Jesus would say to her. At the conclusion of every worship service we'll have special gifts for every woman in attendance. This is going to be a touching weekend in worship as in addition to celebrating the important and transformative female leaders in our lives, we'll also be celebrating the sacrament of baptism on Sunday morning!

On top of that, we only have three remaining weekends in worship at our 1522 McGee location. I hope you will make every effort to be in worship these next several weekends as a way of catapulting into our new space!

In last week's enote I shared that this Saturday we'll be hosting our final women's breakfast before summer break. It will be taking place tomorrow morning at 9 am at our building at 1522 McGee. If you can make it, bring a breakfast item to share and invite a friend to join you! It will be a great time to get together and to look ahead toward the future. If you have any questions, contact Shannon.Endicott@cor.org.

Lastly, I want to share a save the date for a fun and rewarding Serve opportunity on May 24 at Wendell Phillips Elementary School! This "Year-End Fun Day" will include multiple activities you can help lead throughout the morning and/or afternoon. Consider setting a day aside to join us in this wonderful partnership. Register online here, or email PastorPatrick@cor.org if you have questions!

I am so grateful for you and I'm so excited to see how God will use you to invite others to join us on this amazing journey of knowing, loving and serving God. Have a great Friday and I'll look forward to seeing you in worship this weekend.

With Grace, Peace and God's Holy Adventure,

Scott
