Greetings Resurrection Downtowners,

Wow! What an amazing weekend in worship it was last weekend. I am still overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and invitation. We hosted over 1,640 people across four services. In addition to that, we welcomed over 70 infants and a large number of children and youth. Our facilities were overflowing with life and energy, and the excitement has yet to subside! If you weren't able to join us, you can watch our Grand Opening weekend's sermon on our Facebook page.

This weekend we are privileged to host our Senior Pastor, Adam Hamilton, at each of our worship services. All weekend long, he'll preach live at Resurrection Downtown as a way of joining us in celebration. Be sure to invite friends and join us in worship to experience God's transformative power and presence and to spend some time with our Senior Pastor! It will be a great weekend.

In addition to worship this weekend, we'll host a Getting Started gathering on Sunday afternoon, immediately following our 10:45 am worship service. Getting Started gatherings are for members, regular attenders and visitors who are new to RezDT or been attending a while and want to become more connected. Join us this Sunday, June 10 at 12:15 pm at 1522 McGee. I'll be there to talk about how the church got started and to share various ways to become more involved. Light snacks will be served!  No need to RSVP. For questions, contact Matt.Bisel@cor.org.

CALLING ALL KIDS AND VOLUNTEERS! Join us June 16 from 9 am - noon at Margaret Kemp Park across from reStart Inc. (E. 10th St. & Harrison St. KCMO) for a Vacation Bible Camp focused on TRUST. It will be a fun-filled day with games, snacks, story time, lunch, and SO MUCH MORE! To register your kids or sign up to volunteer, visit cor.org/downtown/vbc or email Katie.Ollenburger@cor.org!

Interested in learning about construction ministry? Join us for a Construction Skills Boot Camp and Potluck on Wednesday, June 13, 5–7 pm. This will be an opportunity for congregants to learn or enhance a home repair skill, meet new friends in service, and see the new Healing House facility. Following the instructional boot camp, hamburgers, hotdogs and other items will be served. Bring a dish to share! Visit cor.org/downtown/localimpact for details, or to sign up. Contact Pastor Patrick.McLaughlin@cor.org with questions.

I am so grateful for you, for this opportunity to share in ministry and service to the world by the grace of Jesus Christ. I am humbled to serve alongside such a sacrificial and selfless staff team (in addition to hundreds of volunteers) who are willing to do whatever it takes for the sake of the Gospel. It is exciting to think about where God will lead us into the future and I look forward to experiencing God's power and presence again with you in worship this weekend as we continue our Grand Opening celebration with Pastor Adam. Invite friends and family and join us for another amazing weekend! I'll see you then!

With Grace, Peace and God's Holy Adventure,

Scott
