9am--Program starts
Come early for refreshments!!

1522 McGee, KCMO 64108

Check out all of our sites by going to our Sign up form. Signing up isn't required but doing so helps us create a better experience for you and our partner agencies. The commitment you make also helps God work more deeply within you!

Don't forget to invite friends, family, neighbors and colleagues. A shared experience is the number one way to grow in your faith.  Our hope is that eventually you'll commit to serving at one of our partner sites on a regular basis. I'm happy to help you make a deeper connections to agencies and those dedicated to serving there.

We don't visit every site every month. Click here for a list with web-links to all of the serve partners that we can help you connect with throughout the year.

JOY in Serving

November and December are our biggest months for tapping into people's holiday spirit of generosity.  Find the JOY table in the 1601 Grand lobby before and after church.  You can also find out more ways to serve by visiting our JOY in Serving web page.  Check it out and invite friends and family to collaborate with you to meet the needs of neighbors this Holiday season.

Christmas In October

We had over 60 people in service on Oct. 12 helping with home repair and building community in the Wendell Phillips neighborhood.  REZDT funded 3 houses for renovations and had volunteers working with other houses too.  This year we added a family component to allow children and families to be in the neighborhood with us and to invite neighbors out of their houses.  We got to know several families and helped build neighborhood connections like never before with the power of hotdogs, popsicles, and a bounce house!

Check out this Facebook post for lots of photos and tag yourself if you see you!

Volunteer of the month

This month I'd like to honor the work and gifts of David Sisney (above in red). David is a well known member of our community and because he is so welcoming, I'm honestly surprised when someone hasn't met him.  David is one of the longest standing members of REZDT as he and his wife Kelly, REZDT's Director of Operations and Community Life, moved from Johnson County to the city to help establish the church in 2008. David is very active in his neighborhood, volunteers as a lead usher at church, travelled last year to Honduras with a cohort of REZDT men, and took on responsibilities as a House Captain for the 2019 Christmas in October effort.  David is a passionate believer in REZDT, the power of radical hospitality, and the work God has called REZDT to #withKC.  When you see David, please thank him for his service!

See you Saturday!

I also hope you've enjoyed getting to know what's going on in the Serve life of RezDT!  Don't hesitate to reach out anytime you have questions, concerns, or just need a listening ear. Email or call 816-979-1344.
