Check out all of our sites by going to our Sing up form. Please sign up ahead of time if you can to ensure we have coverage at all of our partner sites! You're also welcome to show up Saturday morning with friends to be sent where needed.

Don't forget to invite a friend and consider serving at one of our partner sites on a more regular basis.  I'm happy to help you make a deeper connection to the agency and those dedicated to serving there.

We don't visit every site every month. Click here for a list with web-links to all of the serve partners that we can help you connect with throughout the year.

Serve Saturday Goals

  1. Welcome 200 first time participants who begin serving with us regularly.
  2. Small groups begin to serve together regularly at one of our partner sites on Serve Saturdays or on days convenient for their group.
  3. Cultivate 6 stories of service that compel others to serve and that can be shared with the broader community.

Your feedback after serve events will help us track these goals. A link is sent out each month to those who have registered to serve.  You're welcome to follow it here too.

Honduras 2019

The 15 member team led by Doty Hoffman and Christi Jo Brunner returned EARLY Monday morning from there trip to Honduras.  The team learned early on the trip to say "God, lead us where you need us".  Instead of meeting at people's homes, we paved a large area next to the church in concrete.  We built relationships with the community none-the-less as they came alongside to help. We unexpectedly ended up spending a day working with kids in a community called Quisgaulagua.  It was an extra rich blessing for them because the team that was supposed to offer them a VBC the week before had to cancel their trip.  We also successfully taught a group about health through the lens of "Leading Causes of Life" inspired by a book of that title by Gary Gunderson. It was a great trip and you can read more about their journey on the blog they kept throughout the week.  If you have a desire to travel internationally, please contact

Are you serving on your own or through your employer!?!?!

TEXT "DEEP" to 816-256-5588 to let us track and celebrate it with you!

Are you passionate about a service opportunity you've been doing outside of RezDT and wish you had more help? I'd love to help bring more volunteers along side you.

Volunteer(s) of the month

This month I'd like to honor the work and gifts of Christi Jo Brunner.  Christi Jo works for the church in KidsCOR but gives back in her spare time too for missions!  She helped to lead the trip to Honduras that is written about in this update. With her calm, cool and collected leadership style, the team pressed through many obstacles with flexibility and joy. As you can see in this photo, she literally carried her weight in concrete many times over, demonstrating that among her many leadership gifts is a willingness to get dirty with the team.  It is a blessing to serve with Christi Jo, so if you ever have the opportunity you should take it! Thank you Christi Jo for your leadership and passion to serve!

Hope to see you Saturday!

I also hope you've enjoyed getting to know what's going on in the Serve life of RezDT!  Don't hesitate to reach out anytime you have questions, concerns, or just need a listening ear. Email or call 816-979-1344.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Patrick
