Help Us Sack Hunger

After weeks of studying Paul’s theology espoused in the book of Romans, this week the scriptures finally brought us to this question of how to live as Christians. The primary focus, of course, is love. This focus has been a reminder to me that one of the main reasons many people are not interested in organized religion these days is because of the hypocritical nature of Christians' actions. When we talk about Jesus but don’t love like he loved, we are missing the mark and creating bad PR for Jesus. But acting with selfless kindness can transform the world in remarkable ways.

One of the many ways we can love like Jesus is by serving and there are a many opportunities to do that in the coming weeks, through food donations, showing up at Serve Saturday, and at our partner schools. May we overcome evil with good this week and always!

Thank you for the ways you portray beauty and goodness in my life,

Pastor Anne
