Greetings RezDowntowners,

What an amazing week it has been. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have. I know at least 125 of you enjoyed the weather on Monday, because I saw you at Chicken N Pickle for our Family Night! Thank you for coming out and having so much fun in that great event space. This weekend is shaping up to be just as beautiful and just as amazing.

Tomorrow, we host our final Vacation Bible Camp of the summer (Saturday, August 4, 9 am - noon) at the Clymer Center at 1301 Vine St. in KCMO. Register your kids at cor.org/downtown/vbc or email Katie Ollenburger with questions! The Clymer Center is located near Wendell Phillips (our partner school) and it should prove to be a great morning of connection and collaboration before school starts.

This weekend in worship we'll continue our two-week live preaching focus at Resurrection Downtown, as we share on the role of friendship in our faith. We'll take a look at Job as well as the gospels and uncover how God calls us to love, support and encourage each other as companions and friends. Perhaps you could invite some friends to join us for this message!

In the meantime, I hope you have a great Friday! Please see below for upcoming opportunities for connecting within our community for adults, high school students, and even as a potential future staff member. Also, don't forget, this is your last weekend to return your school supply bags!

Did you know we have a variety of small groups, including one specifically for high schoolers? Our small groups are starting to fill up, so make sure to register soon at cor.org/downtown/getconnected.

RezDowntown is hiring! We are looking for part-time facilities help for weekends, special services and events. Responsibilities will include preparing the building for Sunday worship, setup for events, building maintenance and more. Does it sound like this could be the right gig for you? Apply online at cor.org/downtown/employment!

With Grace, Peace and God's Holy Adventure,

Scott
