This past weekend my family and I got to step away for a few days to see family in north Texas. Highlights from the trip were fishing, gorgeous sunsets, jellybeans from great-grandma's hidden stash, Kubota rides to the south forty of papa's land, watching scores of cousins running across the tops of hay bales, and of course, holding our two-week-old nephew.

Our time away reminded us of the goodness of life with extended family. Still, it is always nice to come home and remember God's incredible work in and through this community at Resurrection Downtown. Being the church together emboldens us to yield our plans to God's will. My hope is that our time together draws you into God's love and that being sent forth into the world, your life is richer and more purposeful because of that life-changing love.
