Trunk or Treat

Get your costume ready and start decorating your trunk! We are welcoming children from throughout our community to a Trunk or Treat event to enjoy candy, decorated trunks and costume contests. To make this happen, we need your help to decorate a trunk or volunteer.

Please pray for both our presenters and our participants this week, that God will use this conference to strengthen churches. Sack Hunger Food Drive

We wrap up our fall food drive this weekend. Thank you to everyone brought food to our locations and made donations to help sack hunger. You can still make a financial donation online that we’ll use to purchase food in bulk.

Resurrection Committee nominations are now open for candidates to serve beginning in 2022 in Finance, Trustees, Staff Parish Relations, Foundation, Nominations, and Lay Delegates to Annual Conference. Sign up (or encourage someone you know to sign up!) by October 11.

Ministry for Children & Students

Did you know that we have ministries just for children and students at each of our locations?

KiDSCOR is a fun, engaging way for your child to know, love and serve God. We provide kits for families to grow together at home and post regular videos on YouTube to help them understand God and the Bible. Learn more about KiDSCOR here.

Rezlife Student Ministries is a welcoming community where middle school and high school students can worship, serve, and grow in faith together. We have weekly gatherings and some small groups that meet throughout the week. Select a location to learn more.

  • Resurrection Recovery meets Thursdays at 7 pm, in person and online. Those struggling with addiction(s) of any kind are invited to discover hope, redemption and renewal – no matter where you are on the recovery journey. More info here.

KiDSCOR (pre-school – 5th grade)

Resurrection Blue Springs Activities

Volunteers Needed for KiDSCOR - We’re so ready to offer full KiDSCOR programming again - but we need your help! Would you be willing to volunteer with the youngest in our congregation, even one Sunday a month? Email diane.enlow@cor.org for more information and to get connected. You won't regret learning about God through a child's eyes!

All-Church Hayride and Bonfire – Sunday, October 3 at 4 pm. Get to know your fellow worshipers and celebrate fall with a hayride and bonfire at the Wolverton’s farm (36311 E Borgman Rd, Buckner, MO 64016). Join us for hot dogs, s’mores and a hayride! Bring lawn chairs/blankets and sticks for roasting marshmallows. Invite your neighbors to come for the fun!

Everybody Always Study - Wednesdays, October 13-27, 6:30-8 pm - In Person at Blue Springs or Online What would happen if we stopped worrying about a challenging world filled with difficult people, and instead decided to love everybody? KiDSCOR Children's Ministry

Care and Support

Resurrection Recovery is looking for people in recovery who would be interested in expanding the Resurrection Recovery support group to our Blue Springs location. It is a faith based 12-step co-ed support group that welcomes people from all addictions. The group currently meets at the Leawood, Overland Park and Downtown locations on Thursday nights at 6:15 with a person testimony, followed by support group meeting at 7:00. If you would have interest in helping start this group at our location, please contact Tom Langhofer at tom.langhofer@cor.org or 913-544-0219.

Need Care? Congregational Care will continue to be offered through phone and video calls whenever possible. Please fill out our prayer request or email Penny.Ellwood@cor.org to receive care.
