About AD 50, Paul traveled to Thessalonica on his second missionary journey. He founded a small Christian community, then was forced to flee by night after his message inspired a riot! Several months later, he wrote the letter we know as First Thessalonians. Many believe this is the earliest document written in the New Testament. In it, Paul offers guidance for living as faithful Christians in a non-Christian world. In this series of messages, we’ll find that his words of encouragement continue to speak powerfully to those seeking to follow Jesus today.
