Leawood: Senior Director of Congregational Care (Full-Time, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

The Senior Director of Congregational Care Ministries provides oversight and direction to the staff and ministry areas of Congregational Care, including pastoral care and the ministries of hope and healing for Resurrection members and the surrounding community.  Congregational care includes the ministries of pastoral care, prayer, weddings, funerals and wellness ministries.  In addition to directly managing the Congregational Care team at the Leawood Campus, the Senior Director influences and sets direction for congregational care across the church’s regional campuses and serves as a member of the church’s Leadership Team.  For the full position description, click here.  To be considered for this appointed clergy position, contact dan.entwistle@cor.org.

Leawood: Facilities Maintenance Technician (40 Hours, Nonexempt; Benefits Eligible)

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with room/event set-ups.
  • Complete work orders.
  • Minor repair projects.
  • Maintain high level of appearance for church’s buildings and grounds.

Main qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • High level of initiative and motivation.
  • Able to bend and physically lift and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm.

Leawood Campus: Kitchen Operations Program Director & Cook (Full-time, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food service operations; establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving food products sold in The Spring Café. This may include purchasing, physically picking up, and delivering inventory items from local wholesale clubs and other vendors
  • Oversee, prepare, and ensure all internal catering orders are acknowledged, prepared and delivered to the church’s ministries with excellent quality and on a timely basis
  • Supervise the setup, service, and tear down by outside caterers
  • Menu planning and development, periodically offering new menu offerings
  • Cook food in various kitchen equipment

 Main qualifications:

  • Capable of maintaining hours, which will include weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Proven experience as a cook
  • Experience in using kitchen equipment
  • 2 - 4 years in kitchen cook/ managerial role is optimal
  • Able to stand for 6-8 hours and lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Diploma from a culinary school is preferred, but not required

Leawood: Middle School Minister (40 Hours, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate and equip staff, volunteers, and student leaders to effectively mobilize Rezlife for ministry with students
  • Regularly connect and converse with teenagers in the program setting
  • Provide leadership and direction for middle school programming, including youth group, Sunday school, small groups, Bible studies, mission trips and special events (i.e. camps, retreats)
  • Provide leadership and direction for evangelism and marketing to attract more students to the program

Main qualifications:

  • Prior ministry experience - preferably a minimum of 3 years
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to connect with students, parents, volunteers and staff
  • Ability to teach and lead youth, both in small and large group settings

  • Assist with leading and providing direction for high school programming, including youth group, Sunday school, small groups, ministry teams, bible studies, mission trips and special events (i.e. camps, retreats).

Main qualifications:

  • A love for people, especially teenagers and a willingness to connect with them and facilitate their spiritual growth.
  • Solid theological background, with an understanding and appreciation of Wesleyan Doctrine
  • Comfortable speaking to and leading very large groups.
  • Comfortable conducting one-on-one counseling sessions and providing spiritual direction when necessary
  • Needs to be able to delegate work to others and provide follow-up
  • At least 3 years in full-time youth ministry preferred but not required.

Leawood: Matthew’s Ministry Sonflower Adult Learning Program - Special Needs Teaching Assistant (25 Hours; Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on care and support for adult participants with special needs.
  • Partner with SALP Coordinator, and Team Leads to encourage each learner’s engagement in program activities to their full potential.
  • Assists in a variety of SALP programs including devotion, bakery, art, music, community service, and enrichment activities.
  • Fosters good communication with adult learners with special needs, caregivers, volunteers and staff team.
  • Available to work 10am-3pm, M-F.

Main qualifications:

  • Proven ability and prior experience working with adults with special needs including autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities and other cognitive and/or physical disabilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care for participants with special needs, ranging from autism to other physical and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Organize and direct volunteers
  • Minister to individuals with special needs and build a dynamic Christian community that serves this population
  • Schedule includes any or all of the following times:
    • Sunday mornings
    • 5pm Sunday evenings

West: Associate Director of Student Ministries & Worship Arts (Full-time, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • With Director of Student Ministries, develop and implement comprehensive ministry for youth grades 6-12.
  • Research, develop, and implement a year-to-year marketing and social media plan for student ministries.
  • Oversee, direct and implement the Middle School youth ministry of rezlife West.
  • With Director of Student Ministries, lead and offer support to youth mission trips.
  • Recruit and schedule student volunteers, create music resources, develop creative elements for student worship, plan weekly worship sets, and lead student ministry worship on Wednesday nights with student band.
  • Assist Director of Worship Arts in preparing, rehearsing, and leading weekend worship and for special events. Lead worship and/or events in the absence of the Director of Worship Arts.

Main qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with musicians and students.
  • Musical aptitude to lead others in worship and design music ministries particularly for students.
  • Mastery of at least one instrument with the ability to lead worship.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, dependability, high motivation and self-direction.
  • Aptitude for developing adult volunteers into leaders, through training, delegation and follow-up.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and current social media communication tools.
  • Ability to assist with a moderate level of physical activities such as facility set up, moving of supplies, etc.

West: Video and Graphics Producer (20-25 hours, non-Exempt)

West:  Video and Graphics Producer (20-25 Hours, Non-Exempt)

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly coordinate the detailed planning, preparation, and execution of weekend worship at Resurrection West.
  • Coordinate all logistics regarding creation and playback of all video & graphic elements, sermon DVD & delivery, theatrical lighting design, stage & set design, as well as any other visual and aesthetic elements used in weekend worship and student worship.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and empower all technical production volunteers for weekly & weekend events.

Main qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience video and graphic design.
  • Ability to assist with moderate to high levels of physical activities such as moving large equipment more than 200 lbs.
  • Ability to work comfortably on catwalks or lifts at heights of 30-45 ft.
  • Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Mac & PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Pro Presenter, Planning Center and Adobe Photoshop

West: KiDS COR Childcare Classroom Leader (10-20 Hours; Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide childcare for families attending events and/or worship onsite
  • Provide safety and supervision of children
  • Lead music worship time either in a large group setting or individual classrooms
  • Communicate regularly with the parents, co-workers, and coordinators in a positive way

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision
