Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs,
For many of our families, today is the start of Spring break. It hasn’t felt much like spring yet, but I’ve noticed the bulbs poking out of the ground so I know it’s coming. This is the first year in our new home so there is great anticipation to see what these shoots will become. The tips poking out are also a reminder that I need to get out into the flower beds and do some cleanup. We’re in that preparation stage at church, too, as we prepare for Easter and the guests we plan to welcome in a few short weeks.
We could use your help in this process. I want to encourage you to consider joining us as a volunteer at this year's Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24, or in serving as an usher, greeter, coffee host or parking lot attendant for Easter Sunday worship. Your enthusiasm and bright smiles are what create a welcoming environment. We’ll have three services this year at 7:30, 9 and 10:45 am. Sign up here to serve.
This Sunday we continue our series on the Gospel of Mark as Pastor Scott Chrostek takes a look at the role the disciples play in this gospel. Despite their bumbling and confusion, Jesus shows his disciples amazing grace and mercy, which leads these followers to greater things. My hope is that as we experience the same grace and undeserved love we might find our own role in God’s continuing story.
I hope you’ll join me this Sunday and bring a friend along for the journey.
Grace and peace,
Can’t find something? Let us help.
