Resurrection West,

I would love prayers for transformation as Pastor Scott Chrostek, Pastor Matt Bisel, and I depart tomorrow with 60+ pilgrims on a journey to the Holy Land. I’m excited to return to this holy place, shepherding our group as we walk where Jesus walked. We will fly into Tel Aviv, and then drive to Bethlehem to begin our journey through the chronological life of Christ. After Bethlehem we will move to the region of Galilee (where Jesus spent most of his ministry). We will then move up toward Jerusalem learning and reflecting on Christ’s final week and His journey toward the cross.

Every time I go, I’m struck by the power of how alive and rich the scriptures become within the culture and geography of Israel. The graciousness and hospitality of the people in every region, both Palestinian and Jew, is remarkable. This will be a life-changing experience for all and we appreciate your prayers.

Look for pics and more as I share the journey on my social media platforms, as well as pics in my enote next week.

Pastor Adam is back after leading pilgrimage of over 350 people through Egypt. He will continue preaching on the Ten Commandments through the Eyes of Jesus this Sunday. Plan now to make worship a priority as we move closer to the holiday season growing together in faith.

I’m reminded of the over fifty 8th-12th grade students who are currently growing each Sunday afternoon through the confirmation journey learning what it means to be a follower of Christ. May they inspire us all to a greater commitment of our own faith as they confirm Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
