Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs,

As I’m writing this it is raining. I’m one of those people who loves rainy days! It reminds me of God’s faithfulness to restore and refresh us.

As you may know Penny and Bill are helping lead a Resurrection trip to Oberammergau for the Passion Play and then traveling through several of the capital cities in the surrounding area. Let’s remember to keep them in our prayers for a safe journey, uneventful travel, hearts to be moved and that they would return refreshed and inspired.

Just a reminder about the upcoming baptism service at the Duvall home on August 7 at 5 PM. Family and church members are invited to come along to support those making their vows and we’ll follow the service by sharing in a potluck. We’ll provide the burgers and hotdogs and invite you to provide a side or dessert. If you are interested in being baptized or reaffirming your baptism, please contact Heather Sooley. She will give you the information you need to prepare for this day. A short baptism meeting will be held following either worship service this Sunday August 7 for anyone interested.

This weekend Pastor Scott Chrostek will continue the series on Renewing Our Faith from the Book of Acts. I hope you will come for this empowering series and invite a friend to join you!
