Join us for a wonderful day of music with two dynamic handbell clinicians. Your day will include mass ringing sessions, a mini-class, shopping, fellowship with bell ringers from across our region, and conclude with a 3 pm concert.

Church of the Resurrection is located in the southern Kansas City area, 10 minutes south of I-435 and State Line Road. A wide variety of exciting handbell pieces for multiple skill levels has been selected. There is something for everyone!

Pat Latshaw

Pat Latshaw has been involved with music since her early years growing up in central Kansas where, after a brief encounter with the clarinet in elementary school, her musical pursuits centered around the flute and piano. She continued her flute studies at the University of Kansas while earning her B.A. in Germanic Languages and Literature. Shortly after college, she joined her soon-to-be husband's church and heard a bell choir for the first time. Drawn to the musicality and teamwork involved in the choir, she joined the group and has been ringing ever since.

She is currently a member of the music ministry staff at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Prairie Village, KS, where she directs the handbell choir and plays flute in worship services. Pat has served Area 8 of the Handbell Musicians of America as communications chair and is the current secretary of the Area 8 Board. She has been a clinician and instructor at regional handbell workshops and enjoys solo and small ensemble ringing in addition to being a member of ReZound!, Kansas City’s auditioned community handbell ensemble.  She also currently serves as secretary on the board of directors for the Midwest Chamber Ensemble in Prairie Village.

In the world outside handbells, Pat enjoys knitting, reading, and traveling with her husband, including frequent trips to Chicago to visit their two grown children.
