Leawood: Missions and Outreach Coordinating Assistant (20 hours, Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for the office of the Executive Director of Mission and Outreach.
  • Provide administrative support to the Guest Connections and Mission teams, including room reservations, database management, website updates, budget reports, credit card reconciliations, and assistance with event planning.
  • Maintain team calendar and schedule featured bulletin announcements.

Main qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to coordinate events and projects with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, highly-motivated, flexible, and efficient.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Excel, Outlook, and Word. Database maintenance and reporting experience. Aptitude working with web content management software.

Leawood: Assistant Modern Worship Leader (20-25 Hours, Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

In coordination with the Director of Youth and Vibe Worship, responsible for recruiting, developing, maintaining, rehearsing, designing set lists for musical worship and mentoring students in high energy, contemporary settings.

Availability for the following schedule:

Wednesday 4pm-9pm

Tuesday 10am-6pm

Sunday 7:30am-2pm

Main qualifications:

  • Understand basic musical concepts and ability to communicate them.
  • Proficiency on an instrument.
  • Ability to lead and develop and mentor bands and their members.
  • Ability to spiritually minister to and disciple musicians, including conducting Bible study and prayer.

West: Student Ministries Worship Leader (20-25 Hours, Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead worship with the student ministry band on Wednesday nights and assist the Director of Student Ministries with programming. This can include youth group, Sunday School, student ministry events and trips, summer camp, and occasional weekend activities.
  • Assist the Director of Worship Arts in preparing, rehearsing, and leading worship each Sunday as well as for special events and programming.
  • Build healthy one-on-one relationships with students, providing care and living as a Christ-like role model.

Main qualifications:

  • Mastery of at least one instrument with the ability to lead worship.
  • Ability to communicate/relate to students and their families.
  • Musical aptitude to lead others in worship through song and praise. Able to design music ministries particularly for students and adults.

Blue Springs: Student Ministry Program Director (15 Hours, Non-Exempt)

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide coordination and implementation for student ministry programming. This includes setting goals and direction, establishing new ministry opportunities, and evaluating existing programs.
  • Recruit, manage, motivate, and equip staff, volunteers, and student leaders.
  • Regularly connect and converse with teenagers in the program setting.

Main qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with ages 6th through 12th grade.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of developing quality relationships.
  • Ability to create and/or modify curriculum to be developmentally and theologically appropriate.

Leawood: Weekend Worship Program Director (40 Hours, Exempt; Benefits Eligible)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Foster Section Communities initiative to ensure guests entering our worship space feel welcomed.
  • Recruit, train, and invest in volunteer teams including Section Greeters and Ushers
  • Teach, model, and reinforce Resurrection’s value of Radical Hospitality so the worship experience is open and welcoming
  • Collaborate with Pastors and other staff members to inform and invite congregants to participate in serving, discipleship, and fellowship events
  • Provide on-site leadership for worship, including special worship elements in regular weekend worship and special worship services
  • Primary onsite staff person on Sunday mornings overseeing worship hospitality.

Main qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and administrative skills
  • Friendly with the ability to work collaboratively and develop relationships
  • Highly motivated and capable of following projects through to completion
  • Experience building, leading, and directing a team of volunteers

Leawood: Special Needs Care Provider (5-10 Hours, Nonexempt)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care for participants with special needs, ranging from autism to other physical and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Organize and direct volunteers
  • Minister to individuals with special needs and build a dynamic Christian community that serves this population
  • Schedule includes any or all of the following times:
    • Sunday mornings
    • 5pm Sunday evenings
    • Monthly Family Night Out
    • As needed

Main qualifications:

  • Knowledge of autism and other disabilities
  • Ability to model and assign tasks to volunteers
  • An understanding and experience in behavior management and applied behavior analysis helpful, but not required
  • Organized with ability to multi-task and problem solve

  • Provide childcare for families attending group meetings or services onsite
  • Use personal creativity to actively engage children while leading learning activities and teaching lessons
