Hello Resurrection Blue Springs!

Our Holy Week got off to a great start last Saturday with our Easter Egg Hunt. We had a record attendance and a beautiful day to welcome our community and begin our Easter celebrations.

I’m sending the enote a day early in order to remind you that our next Holy week activity is tonight’s Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. We'll begin with a simple baked potato bar supper followed by Holy Communion and a family friendly service of scripture and song moving us through the final hours of Jesus’ life. This reflection on Jesus’ suffering and the sacrifice he made on our behalf help prepare us to experience the joy of the resurrection on Easter morning! Childcare for 4 years and under will be available during the worship service.

Then join us for Easter worship services Sunday at 8 am, 9:30 am and 11:15 am as we celebrate the good news of Easter together! The message of Easter is one of life, restoration and hope. This day offers us the promise of new life and new beginnings. We will not have KiDSCOR programming on Easter but we will have childcare for 4 years and under and children’s worship packets available. If you call Resurrection Blue Springs your church home, please consider worshiping at 8 am to make room for our visitors.

I’d also like to encourage you to consider extending an invitation to your neighbors, family and friends for our Easter worship servicesA personal invitation is certainly the most meaningful. Inviting someone though can be as easy as sending a Facebook post from our Facebook page. Please go there now and post an invitation on your own page to invite your friends and family.

You might even consider sharing which service time you’ll be going to and where your friends could meet up with you. I hear so many of you say how much you love our church and so do I! I want everyone to experience being a part of a loving and supportive community, and the joy we share together as a church family. Your invitation could literally change someone’s life, so let us invite others to know the hope we find in Christ this Easter!

Finally, I would ask for your prayers for the many people in our community who received a mailer inviting them to our Easter services. Over 10,000 postcards went out just in our community. Please pray for their hearts to be stirred to come and hear about the hope we find in Jesus Christ!

Looking forward to celebrating the resurrection with you!
